10th Birthday Party

NBAM's 10th Birthday Party was a terrific success with 218 guests visiting the Museum on July 16.

The current exhibit includes artist's responses to historic art objects and one response from a child in our current "SuMerART" program.
 
The Museum is especially thankful to the curators, who spent time conversing with visitors.

New Bedford Mayor Scott Lang spoke about the city’s pride in having the Museum as an integral part of the community and the importance of continued opportunities for the people of greater New Bedford to experience and participate in art.

City Council President David Alves presented the Museum with a Citation of Recognition from the city.

Mayor Lang and Councilor Alves led the gathered group in singing "Happy Birthday."
 
Pizza was generously sponsored by Domino's Pizza of New Bedford, beverages were provided by McDonald's of New Bedford and the birthday cake was a gift of Lydia's Bakery on Acushnet Avenue in New Bedford.
